 Arrival of the participants during the day.

16:00 Symposium: "Ars Poetica" (Second session). ("Pink Hall," Hotel "Drim")

19:00 Outing to the village of Vevchani (4 km away from Struga);

* Note : Written papers to be submitted by 1 st June, 2005.

Arrival of the participants during the day.

10:00 Planting a tree by the poet-laureate, the American poet W. S. Merwin, in the " Park of Poetry " and short reading.

11:15 Opening of Vasko Taskovski's exhibition: (hotel "Drim")

12:00 Press conference with the poet laureates: W. S. Merwin and Andrea Cote ( Colombia ). ("Piano Bar" Hotel Drim )

13:00 Cocktail in honour of the participants given by the Mayor of Struga and/or the Festival Board. ("Coctail Hall", Hotel Drim )

17:30 Homage: 120 years of the birth of Hlebnikov

19:00 Reception by the Prime Minister of Republic of Macedonia for all the participants and guests of honour .

20:30 Official opening of the SPE - 2005 in front of the "House of Poetry".

Exhibition of books by the SPE participants and folk costumes from Struga in the hall of the "House of Poetry".

21:00 "Poetic Meridians" - International poetry reading in the "House of Poetry".

10:00 Placing busts of Slavko Janevski and Ante Poposki in the Park of Poetry (in front of hotel Drim )

11:00 Homage: Schtrosmaer

12:10 Meeting of the participants with the poet laureates. (Pink Hall, hotel Drim )

13:30 Cocktail in honour of the poet-laureate W. S. Merwin given by the American Embassy.

17:30 Presentation of the selection of Macedonian poetry on the theme Ars Poetica , and reading. (Brothers Miladinov's House).

19:30 Presentation of the "Pleiades" edition and reading by the poets published in it. (court of monastery St. George)

22:00 An evening of contemporary Israeli poetry and dance. (Head of the Drim River ).

24:00 "Night Without Punctuation", Presentation of the anthology of the young poets-nominees for the "Struga Bridges" award; informal poetry reading and music (young poets). ("Pink Hall," Hotel Drim )

10:30 Outing to the fishermen village of Radozhda and visit to a cave church. (10 km away from Struga)

12:00 Poetry "Matinée", international poetry reading at the courtyard of the Monastery of Our Lady at Kalishta. (3 km away from Struga).

13:30 Meeting with the Minister of Culture of R. Macedonia and cocktail in the nearby hotel.

15:00-18:00 Sightseeing of the old city of Ohrid . (12 km away from Struga).

19:00 Presentation of the "Brothers Miladinov Award" to the best Macedonian poetry book published between two festivals and reading. (Brothers Miladinov's House)

21:00 "Poetic Portrait" of the poet laureate, W. S. Merwin (Cathedral Church of St. Sophia, Ohrid).

24:00 "Night Without Punctuation", informal poetry reading and music ("Pink Hall" Hotel Drim )

09:00 Departure for Pogradec , Albania for an international poetry meeting

10:00 Outing to the Monastery of St. Nahum (34 km away from Struga, by boat)

11:00 Departure to St. Nahum by bus.

13:00-15:00 Picnic at the springs of the Drim River .

15:30 Presentation of the "Wine Poem Award".

16:00 Return to Struga by boat. 17:00 Return to Struga by bus.

20:00 Performance of the folklore ensemble Tanec

21:00 "Bridges", international poetry reading on the bridge of the Drim River . Presentation of the "Golden Wreath Award" to the poet laureate, W. S. Merwin, and the "Struga Bridges Award" to Andrea Cote.

Monday, 29. 08. 2005

10:00 Departure of the participants from Struga to Skopje (and to the airport) by buses.

13:00 Poetry "Matinée"; cocktail given by the Mayor of Skopje

21:00 International poetry reading in Skopje with poets departing the following day.
